No. 5

Blogging isn't completely dead but it's definitely struggling. While that is the case, please let me introduce my new bike. Yes it's a chopper and yes it has no front brake, but it's a chopper.

Is it weird to say I love you to a motorcycle?

Essential Listening - Pennywise!!!!!

back in the days, i went through a brief punk phase. you know, the classics: NOFX, offspring, fishbone, Rocket from the Crypt, even some greenday, etc... one band that i always digged was Pennywise. I remember seeing them live at the Warped tour and was blown away by their live performance; one really cool thing i remember about that performance is that the dudes from fishbone, deftones, and some other dudes all came out and performed their last song with them. it was great to see the vibe of friendship and respect that these dudes had with the other bands Fast forward a few years and i was watching a shred video (the rascals) and it featured a short clip of the Pennywise classic "Bro Hymm" - which instantly took me back to my punk days. not having seen pennywise for years, i checked em out on youtube and found this brilliant live performance of bro hymm - checking out this performance, it once again confirms how rad pennywise is. seriously, i would be crapping my pants with that many randoms on stage with you, but Jim and the crew take it in stride and throw high fives, hugs, the whole bit. Just like that performance from the warped tour, pennywise shows that they are down with everyone, and not above their fans. so good Hit play on the video, turn up the speakers and yell it out "ohhhhh, ohh, ohh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhhhhhhh, ohhhhhhhhh, oh, oh, ohhhhhh"

No.3 almost done

All around good guy, Tyler from Sawicki speed shop made my vision for some pipes happen, and now I am down with this bike. Yeah, I could probably run faster than it, but the "look" is the way I want

Number 3

Well, here it is, almost finished up. Just waiting on some new pipes and I should be happy for a few months. It's my third bike and retains the vibe of my past 2, while also keeping things fresh. And yes, the 883cc engine is slow as all hell, no worries though a 1200 kit will follow in the fall

bad break

on a recent trip to onterrible my cousin, Sunny told me that i needed watch the show "breaking bad." now, i had heard about this show, but as i dont really watch TV i didnt really pay it any attention. then, the wife was like "you gotta watch this breaking bad show, i got it on netflix." so for the next few weeks, the wife and i watched season 1, 2, 3 and are now on season 4. for those who havent heard of the show, its a story about a chemistry teacher who turns to making crystal meth, when he learns that he has cancer."How is it?" you ask, well if you like stressed out, depressing, anxiety ridden shows you will love it. seinfeld nerds will recognize the main character as Dr. Tim whatley from the "anti dentite episode"

Essential Listening - The Faces

i've really been getting into rod stewart's early stuff lately; and my favorite stuff has to be his work with the Faces. Now, the Faces was a killer band with class musicians like ronnie wood (of the stones) on guitar, killer drummer Kenny Jones, Ronnie Lane on Bass and Ian McLagan on keyboards. now before you go tell me that i should be listening to adult contemporary stations, give this track a listen and you too will be swayed, enjoy told ya

thanks for everything MCA

coming up i was a big Beastie Boys fan, and my favourite B Boy, was always Adam Yauch aka MCA. he always had the best ryhmes, and style. The albums Paul's Boutique, and check your head were so instrumental in my life, that hearing them now takes me back to a particular day and time.
This morning i heard that MCA passed away after a long fight with cancer. truly shitty news as he was and is one of my hero's. so to everyone that was influenced or loved the what the b boys did, take a moment for MCA and for the radness that he bought to our lives.
